This is the top of the nail bin.  The entire piece is at least 7 feet tall.  It will hold lots of collectible items.  If it  ends up at my house--which may happen one day soon--I will use it to display some of my white ironstone or gray crock collection. (or Jim Shore Santas, or even some of my chicken collection).  (That's the problem with selling things that I love--I want to bring them home with me.)
This display item is an old nail and screw bin that originally had 2 front legs and was attached to a wall in a local lumber company that closed several years ago.  The front legs were removed and the bin turned on end to make a great rustic display for copper and crock items.  The upper shelves contain a collection of old copper tea kettles.  Be on the look-out for great old items that have a history and can serve a new purpose in your home.
I just love using vintage picture frames to display plates, pictures, etc.  This one was painted white and then distressed.  It could be changed to match your decor or it could have been left as originally found.  The shabby chic look is one of my favorites.

Now is the time to buy great items to make your home really feel like Spring is finally here!  White wicker, bird cages and gardening signs--always good choices to make your home feel lighter and brighter.  Plates that match your chosen accent colors look great on the wall or on a plate shelf.  Happy Spring!
